Post-wedding brunch

As always, your staff and food were superb. The only thing we needed would have been a bit more sleep the night before. But I don't think anyone can get the right balance, it is a short few hours between the end of a wedding and breakfast!

We had delicious food. The sandwiches and mini quiche were the biggest success. I am still enjoying them - especially as I don't have to worry about fitting into my dress.

And, my friend came down from Toronto with her cooler just to fill up on your delicious goodies - hope she had success. You helped her out a few years ago for a brunch and then I took them some frozen things for New Year's Eve. Your reputation is travelling!

Wedding reception

We just had such an amazing time with everything to do with the wedding and the reception and catering was definitely a big highlight. Thanks for all of your organizing and for being so on top of things the night of. There is nothing that comes to mind at the moment in terms of improvements.

I only heard really positive feedback from others and I personally was impressed with how delicious everything tasted (I did manage to eat a few bites in the midst of all the action!), how quickly each course was served and just how the whole evening flowed so smoothly. Much, much appreciated!

Corporate lunch

Let me start off by saying that you have a great team. They were very professional and made a great presentation. I was very impressed by the customer service for such a young group (compared to other caterers I have worked with).

The presentation of the food was very nice and for what I got to taste, it was very good.

Wedding weekend

We did have a fabulous weekend, thanks in no small part to you, Pam and all the staff. The Friday night food got rave reviews. That is by far the easiest dinner party I have ever given. The staff were very efficient and it was great saying goodnight and then not having to clean up the kitchen!
Sunday was also great. A bit too much food, but it was really really good. It was great fun and very relaxing for me. Thanks for everything. Oh - the logo on the Groom's cake was a HUGE hit.

Dinner party

Please pass on to your staff on what a wonderful job they did this past Saturday. I have only heard good things about the Dinner and Service. I personally loved the Roast Beef and the Shrimps. It really was a pleasure meeting you and your staff and I am sure we will see you at more events.

Memorial reception

The food was wonderful and the service staff was incredible. They were very helpful with the young and the old and incredibly pleasant despite the difficult weather conditions. We would not hesitate to recommend Simply Wonderful.

Wedding rehearsal dinatoire

Everyone, myself included, thought the food was delicious and interesting. Your crew did a marvellous job of preparing and serving the food and drink in a relatively small space with many people around. They were efficient, gracious, unobtrusive, and cheerful. Many guests said that the food and service were outstanding. Thanks so much to you and Kim and to all the crew at Simply Wonderful for helping to make the dinatoire such a wonderful event.

The party was a great success and your capable staff was a big part of it. Your staff were professional, helpful  and discreet. The food was also excellent and everybody ate well.

All my guests were very impressed (which made me look good… ;o)) and many have asked who I was using. I also want to take this opportunity to highlight Kim’s initial input; she was really helpful in getting it done from the start (especially since she was dealing with a first time organizer…)

Fundraiser reception

I just wanted to write to send you our appreciation for your help, way beyond the call of duty,on our two fundraisers. …The food was lovely, and we received many compliments from people asking about the caterer. People commented too on the niceness of your staff. I hope that you will get some contracts out of it.

On the second night, many additional people turned up at the last minute, but the food miraculously, (loaves and fishes?) stretched. Your staff was just great.

Annual dinner

Just a quick note to report that everything went swimmingly at last night's Charter Night Dinner. Pamela Layton prepared just the kind of food we had in mind and many were the compliments I received after the meal about the quality and reasonable portions of the servings, as well as concerning the courtesy and good humour of Pamela's servers.

The price and all details on matters monetary were as agreed. I would think that we would be delighted to have S.W. as caterer another year, and am sure my Branch Executive will agree.

Thank you so much for the excellent catering for the wedding of my daughter. The hall was set up beautifully on our arrival. The food was delicious starting with the wonderful variety of hors d’oeuvres, and continuing with the fine dinner. The late night snack was a happy surprise for our guest, many of whom made appreciative comments. I think all that dancing stirred up an appetite! 
I know that Wendy enjoyed working with you and I was thankful to know that the dinner with in such capable hands. The entire wedding weekend was the celebration that we had hoped for and you and your staff contributed in large part to making it so.

We can't begin to thank Simply Wonderful enough for the absolutely outstanding service your staff provided. Kim was beyond fantastic helping us plan and organize everything on such short notice, and the servers absolutely blew our minds. The food was fantastic, the service prompt and professional, and they really went way beyond what we had expected from a catering service. From helping the sound man unload his equipment at the party (when he arrived late!!!) to meshing so nicely with our families at the brunch the next day, everyone (Sean and Marianne especially) really went above and beyond. Right from the start, they felt like a team of friends (but very professional friends!) that could be counted on to make the celebration better than expected. You should be very, very proud of your staff - they are sooooo much better than "simply wonderful".

I must compliment your company and team - they were all very professional - from when Kim first met us to the evening itself.  Kim gave me a lot of reassurance, since I was not really sure of how it would all work.  She also worked with me as the number of guests started to change and helped plan out the logistics.  The evening staff were very pleasant, professional and made sure any bottlenecks were avoided - when all was done, they cleaned up leaving no trace that they were ever there.  Thanks for a great job.

Both your staff and the food surpassed our expectations! From the moment we met Marianne and onward, your staff was friendly, professional and courteous...we couldn't have asked for better service.  Throughout the evening, our guests continuously reminded us of how deliciously tasty everything was AND how friendly the staff was being. In fact, one of our guests asked to speak to the "acting supervisor" to directly pass on the message. Mark and I were outside when one of the waiting staff came out with a plate of hors d'oeuvres just for us to ensure that we got a taste of each. The chef later came out the introduce himself and help me hold my dish as I was standing and waiting for Mark to return. Honestly, the staff felt like an extension of our guests...they were good company! The food was delicious! Everything was excellent, from the hors d'oeuvres to the wedding cake! Mark and I loved it all! Of our 50 something guests, 1/3 had pork, 1/3 had salmon and 1/3 had the vegetarian meal. Everyone enjoyed the food and the vegetarians were pleasantly surprised not to be eating pasta! They all loved it. Thank you so much for a positively memorable experience. I have no reservation recommending your services to anyone. Moreover, should the opportunity present itself, we will gladly call upon you again :)

Family Gathering

The food prepared for my family gathering could not have been better and it was greatly appreciated by young and old. The plates and bowls were scraped clean which I think was a good sign of a meal enjoyed by the participants, and I received numerous compliments as my guests were leaving. It was a pleasure to work with your team and every detail was exactly as promised. We have enjoyed numerous meals you have prepared for events at the Black Watch Armoury and it was a simple choice to contact "Simply Wonderful".

Everything today was really great! The two things that are most important to me are quality and reliability when it comes to delivery time and you hit home on both (everyone loved the quinoa taboulé and Thai chicken rice paper wraps!). My colleague came down to sample a bit of what I ordered and she will contact you shortly for a few meetings she has in April.

Dinner Party

I wanted to give you further feedback on your "simply wonderful" food. We had some leftovers last night, and the taste gets better and better. That is probably because I was able to sit down properly and savour everything calmly without the hustle of serving everyone the night before. All was delicious.

Buffet dinner for 30

I want to thank you for everything on Sunday. Monica and Susan were just fantastic! What charming people – everyone was very impressed with their quiet and pleasant ways of organizing the party. I loved how they just made themselves at home and came up with solutions for situations we hadn’t anticipated, such as a gift table and labeling dessert pies we had. Lovely. They made all the difference and were a pleasure to work with. We are still enjoying leftovers! The salmon was fantastic as was the dill sauce. The hors d’oeuvres were very yummy, although I should have ordered more because people came with their children and I hadn’t factored in the unanticipated guests! Guests at the party commented on the wonderful service and exclaimed that this was the way to go when hosting!
